This fairly cheap kebab shop in an alleyway off the main drag near Itaewon hovers around a 3.7/5 stars for me, with each Google Maps category essentially hitting a 3.7/5 (food, service, atmosphere). I came in here because it’s 24 hours, I’d be in a nearby Internet cafe, and needed some kind of sustenance (was on a super long layover). The employee was asleep when I came in and woke up to go behind the counter. No shade, it’s just why happened (hell, I’d be asleep too if I worked in an 24-hour kebab shop). I ordered a chicken kebab and glanced warily at the unidentifiable meat spinning on the trompos, and took a seat. The seats were hard wood benches with no cushions and basic wood tables. I received my kebab and the employee said “enjoy!” with a strangely realistic enthusiasm which, honestly, at that point in my journey, I appreciated. The kebab wasn’t bad at all—not the best I’ve had, but certainly not the worst either. Decent flavor, decent freshness—all around just decent. Worth a shot if you’re up all night at the nearby Internet cafe, a weirdo wandering the freezing streets of nighttime Itaewon, or just in an awkward pinch for food.
