This Korean fusion restaurant is a hidden gem in a Gangnam alley and provides Korean home meal. The name of this restaurant, 105, comes from the owner Chef’s name (Ms. Back Oh-hyun) who learned and got her cooking secrets from her mother. The restaurant is small but with small garden filled with beautiful flowers and with one room for private dining (maximum occupancy 8 people). There is A La Carte menu but recommends “the cuisine according to Chef’s choice (so-called Korean Omakase Style, 80K KRW) based on seasonal fresh ingredients. The balance from seafood, chicken tang fry through to LA ribs finally to spicy stew is excellent with good tempo and variation. All the cuisines are savory and also good harmony with drinks. Especially, the Soy Sauced Marinated Crab (간장게장, 55K), the signature one, is one of a kind! It is delectable and also good if you mix it with rice. Braised Spicy Chicken (닭볶음탕, 40K) is also known as its signature but could not taste it by this chance. Price are moderate and staffs are very kind, attentive.
