If you are visiting Heungnyunsa Temple, I would recommend a walk down the hill for a refreshing stop at this coffee shop. It looks as if some reviews are for a different location or the location across the street. This location is at 805-4 Dongchun-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. The space across the street? It looked closed when we visited recently. But I didn’t bother to check. I will admit, the reason we stopped here the first time was because the English-version of the name (TeaTea CaCa) made us laugh. But that giggle turned into a great stop, which turned into another stop the next time we were at the temple. There are some language issues (related to us, as visitors, not to the workers). But everything worked out fine each time and the staff were great. The various coffee drinks we ordered (cold and hot) were good. They have Cass on draft! The chocolate cake was interesting and enjoyable to try. They also allow smoking on their fairly spacious outdoor deck (if that’s your thing). They also provide a free plate of corn snacks to guests to enjoy with their drinks. And, while the space is fairly minimalist, it serves the purpose of providing places, indoors and out, for a group to enjoy a chat and some coffee. As others have noted, the bathrooms are co-ed. But they are also clean and well looked after. I don’t suspect the employees (or, maybe even the owner) will read this. However, if you do, I wanted to say thank you for making our two visits so enjoyable. We probably looked like clueless American (hint: we were!). But you treated us kindly and you served us well. If we come back again—and I think we will!—we will certainly stop by. And we will recommend you to our friends who are planning visits. And those local reviewers who leave cringey reviews? Really?!?! You don’t like loud coffee-making machines? Hmm. I guess odd reviews aren’t solely left by dumb Americans! I kid (sorta’).
