Super trendy speakeasy with incredible craft in making fun drinks. It's in the 3rd floor of the other building of the paradise hotel, but you can ask the staff and they'll show you where they secret door is. 25,000won per fancy cocktail which were all delicious. I personally loved my under the sea drink which had the perfect kelp umami. The cigar was also pretty cool for effect. It also came with free champagne and some freeze dried vegetables (?) and olives that aren't briny (?) and skinless cherry tomatoes that are icy cold (?). Floor to ceiling windows on one of the couch seats had a great view of the jazz lounge band in the grand lobby. Overall a bar that I am definitely coming back to every night to try new drinks. Oh my gosh, my life has definitely been divided into before and after meeting bartender Jo Hyun-jin at Bar Nix. Before stepping into this place, I felt that bars had a somewhat intimidating first impression, but once I entered, the friendly staff and warm atmosphere welcomed me with open arms. During the process of selecting my first cocktail, bartender Jo Hyun-jin presented each drink as if it were a work of art. Thanks to that, I felt comfortable choosing even though it was my first time trying any cocktail. Savoring a cocktail with its rich aroma was truly a delightful experience. Secondly, I was struck by the incredible variety of cocktails available. Instead of simply picking from the menu, I could discover my preferences through sample cocktails. This process captivated me further, allowing me to slowly savor the complex flavors one drink at a time. Thirdly, experiencing bartender Jo Hyun-jin's creative cocktails opened me up to a new world. In particular, his 'Buttermilk Cocktail' was so rich and flavorful that it seems it will linger in my memory for a lifetime. This cocktail transcended being just a drink; its harmonious blend of ingredients left a unique impression. The background stories behind each creative cocktail added a deeply emotional layer to the experience. Through all of this, Bar Nix guided me into a world of new sensations and experiences, far beyond just being a bar. I took the time to write this review because I hope that everyone will visit Bar Nix at the Paradise Hotel and not miss out on the special experience with bartender Jo Hyun-jin.
