The atmosphere here was buzzing as we walked by, so we decided to stop in for a beer and some food. We ordered the Stir-Fried Udon Noodles with Beef Brisket. When the dish arrived, it was covered in mayonnaise, even though the menu made no mention of mayonnaise or any egg-based topping. I have an egg allergy, so I immediately explained to the staff that I couldn’t eat it and asked if it could be remade without the mayonnaise. I hadn’t touched the food. Unfortunately, the staff blamed me for not mentioning my allergy before ordering and refused to remake the dish without charging me. I understand that informing restaurants about allergies is important, but when a menu doesn’t mention an ingredient like mayonnaise, it’s reasonable not to expect it on a beef brisket udon dish. In the end, I had to pay for a meal that I couldn’t safely eat. I found the lack of customer service and willingness to resolve the situation very disappointing. The atmosphere was good, but the way this issue was handled means I won’t be returning. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
