One of the most phenomenal meals I had during my stay in Korea! This restaurant’s specialty is grilled eel, and it truly shines. The banchan was also fresh, and the kimchi was particularly tasty. The workers expertly grill the eel over charcoal from start to finish, leaving behind subtly sweet, rich, and crispy slices of meat. The outside texture was crisp, but the flesh was soft and buttery. It is best enjoyed wrapped in lettuce and perilla leaves with some banchan and sauce. This is an incredible place to come for impeccable grilled eel! This is the go-to place for salt-grilled eel. It’s absolutely delicious when you wrap the eel with sliced ginger in a pickled garlic leaf (Myeong-i namul). The grilled rice cakes and garlic that come with it are also a real treat. Plus, you can get discounted drinks at the coffee shop right next door after your meal.
