Tucked away in a calm, refined setting, Picky Child Dining impresses with its quiet charm and thoughtful details. I had the fresh pasta with mackerel and the sweet potato cream gnocchi—both beautifully balanced in flavor and presentation. As a welcome touch, they served a ricotta salad with candied walnuts and strawberries, which turned out to be an unexpectedly great pairing. The mackerel was even prepped and deboned for easy eating—something I really appreciated. The house red was light-bodied and paired smoothly with the entire meal. Of the two dishes, the mackerel pasta was my personal favorite. Definitely planning to come back and try the stew and carbonara next time. The staff were attentive and everything from the service to the spotless restroom reflected a well-run space. Special shoutout to the short-haired server who helped us—she had a kind, easygoing presence that added to the overall experience.
