my korean is awful but it’s still an easily navigable experience for english-speakers. everything is either charcoal-grilled pork or beef with only slight differences in cut or marination (none spicy). if debating between dishes, just remember how good the exchange rate is for the $ and get both/all. nice, authentic little experience for foreigners. don’t be too loud but do get soju. first stumbled on this place when i was at yonsei in 2004 and then discovered it was still open 18y later. perfect little hole-in-the-wall with a staff of two. TWO. everything on the menu is delicious. the owner is, as most small business owners in seoul are, quite warm and hospitable. i make an effort to come here every time i’m in seoul.
