There’s something unforgettable about dining by the sea and my evening at Haemul Saenggak (해물생각) in Songdo beach, Busan, was exactly that. Sitting just steps away from the beach, I enjoyed a table full of fresh seafood that perfectly captured the taste of the ocean. The grilled shellfish were incredibly fresh every clam, scallop, and mussel bursting with natural sweetness. The ggomjangeo 꼼장어 (grilled sea eel) was delightfully chewy and flavorful, the kind of texture that keeps you wanting more. With a variety of side dishes filling the table and the sound of waves in the background, it was a dinner that touched all the senses. As the sun set over Songdo Beach, the sky turned gold and the sea breeze carried the scent of salt and smoke from the grill. It was one of those perfect moments you wish you could freeze in time. Even now, I find myself missing that evening, the taste, the view, and the feeling of peace that only the ocean can bring.
