I first visited this restaurant over 20 years ago. For the past few years, I hadn’t been able to return due to a lack of visits to Daejeon. It now seems to be run by the founder’s daughter. The main dish here is pork bulgogi, which is partially grilled (about 80%) over charcoal by the owner before being served on gas grills at the table. The pork appears to be marinated in a sweet sauce for some time before cooking, offering a unique flavor compared to typical pork dishes. If you’re in the area, it’s worth trying for a different taste experience. In Korea, pork is typically enjoyed with lettuce, garlic, kimchi, and other side dishes. However, this place offers an additional delight: a special garlic soy sauce that you should definitely try with the meat. This adds another layer of flavor and fun to your meal. After fully enjoying the meat, I highly recommend requesting a fried rice dish. Be sure to leave some meat aside for this purpose. The fried rice here is particularly satisfying, so it’s definitely worth trying. The restaurant has recently gained more popularity and is planning to relocate and expand by summer 2025.
