What a great food experience when in Busan Gwangali area! The menu had English so that was helpful amd much appreciated. Careful walking in in case the lady servers are holding the really hot coal containers to/from tables! We ordered a medium sized order of grilled eel, the abalone, and conger eel. More than enough food for 2 adults and a growing teen boy. The lettuce and perilla leaves for self-serve along with the side Banchan dishes. Thr lady server helped us cook the eel amd abalone amd taught us how to best eat them with all the condiments. She was awesome! 맛있는!!! Delicious! Besides the food being so good we had the view of the beach to compliment it. All in all an excellent experience. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₩30,000–40,000

황금어장 is an outstanding spot for enjoying grilled eel (장어), made even better by its beautiful ocean view. Sitting by the window and eating while looking out over the waves creates a peaceful, memorable dining experience that’s hard to beat. The 장어 itself was incredibly fresh and grilled just right—tender, flavorful, and coated with a rich, slightly sweet sauce that enhanced the natural taste without overwhelming it. The 장어 정식 came with plenty of well-made side dishes and a hearty soup, making it a very satisfying and balanced meal. The service was okay—not bad by any means, but not exceptional either. The staff were polite and got everything to us in a timely manner, though it lacked a bit of warmth or attentiveness that would have made the experience even better. That said, the food and the view more than made up for it. The restaurant is clean, inviting, and offers a calm, traditional setting that suits the menu perfectly. If you’re craving eel and want to enjoy it with a scenic backdrop, 황금어장 is definitely worth the visit.
