청담동 순도리 - i entered this in Papago and it translated to “Sundori in Cheongdam-dong” We came here for dinner after a long day of touring the city on election day. our hotel we checked in to was just next door so it was convenient to have the restaurant next to us. we were in luck because food was amazing. soondae gukbap is a korean soup that has blood sausage and chopped pig’s face (snout, lips, ears - all the yummy cartilaginous parts). it was perfect for the cold early spring weather. the soondae (blood sausage) had the right blood to glutinous rice and glass noodles ratio (more blood, less extenders). the soup had a lot of other crunchy meat in it so it wasn’t just blood sausage inside. our tour guide added perilla powder in it but i was happy without it. we also had spicy beef soup with tofu which was also very good. but i can get that anywhere so it was overshadowed by the soondae gukbap. we also had fried peppers. it wasn’t as spicy as i feared. the peppers had minced beef inside and it was delicious. we came here twice because we will surely miss it. we don’t have soondae where we’re from.
