Highly recommend this place for chinese cuisine & Dimsum ! This is my second visit to Agate. Very comfortable seats and interior decor, clean, suitable for events/ wedding banquet too. It has outdoor space (pets friendly). Overall Very spacious with plenty of sunlight and a great view (Victoria Harbour). Food is good, recommend Japanese Wagyu Riceroll $88, charcoal grilled chashiu (pork), Abalone rice in Lotus Leave (delicious and big abalone!) $138. Mango Sago and Red Date pudding is also very great!!! Dimsum variety is sufficient and of good quality. Price wise: it is not “cheap” . afterall its in M+ museum there must be a premium for the location and great harbour view. Average $200-$300 per head is expected. Service is okay, normal, nothing to complain. Will definitely visit again next time and try more dishes. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: HK$250–300 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: have vegetarian choices

When this restaurant first opened, I visited frequently and once considered it the best Chinese restaurant in West Kowloon. I even recommended it to some clients for hosting corporate dinners. However, after returning for lunch six months later, the quality had declined sharply. The server appeared to be from outside Hong Kong — even though they spoke some Cantonese, they struggled to understand it, and their service attitude was poor. Unless there’s truly no alternative, I won’t be coming back. Meal type: Lunch Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

I was visibly ignored by the staff after being given a table. Despite my best effort to call out a waiter, I wasn’t given any tea, menu or someone to come over to take my order. They specifically looked away when I made eye contact with them. Service: 1
