A small fancy café in the old town. There’s a cosy air-conditioned seating area at the front and a quiet spot at the back with a nice view. The coffee and matcha are a bit on the pricier side, but very well made and delicious. They also have desserts that look lovely. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

AT LANTA Cafe & Baker was a bit of a disappointment and reminded us of the importance of reading reviews carefully first. We visited during low season when the café was completely empty, with three staff present. On the positive side, is the only café in the area with air-conditioned seating, which was a big plus on a hot day, and the muffin we tried was fine, though the drinks were just average. Unfortunately, the service left a poor impression. There was no greeting or smile when we entered, and when asking for recommendations, staff simply pointed at the menu instead of engaging with us. We noticed the tiramisu was listed as a bestseller in reviews, but when we asked, staff quietly removed the sign and display without informing us it was sold out or offering an apology. When my friend asked about sitting at the back area with a nicer view, we were told we could, but would have to carry everything ourselves since it was “counter service only,” which ruined the atmosphere we had hoped for. Prices are quite high compared to local coffee shops—or even Starbucks—without matching quality or service. With staff uninterested, glued to their phones, and lacking hospitality, we felt uncomfortable staying and ended up just taking a few photos before leaving.
