The gods of Western food have anointed their admiral. Ordered a standard chicken chop $8.90 & the double chicken for $13.50. One cutlet, one chop, enough meat for natural gains. What really got me were the sides. The potato gratin was wonderful. You could see the layers, everything was nicely seasoned, and it was cooked properly. Not some sad potato situation. The coleslaw was also refreshing, sweet, and actually enjoyable instead of just being there for decoration. The chicken chop was flavorful and generously sized. Proper damage. The chicken cutlet had a crunchy coating while the meat stayed succulent. Mayo was also given at no extra charge, which in today’s economy feels like a moral victory. Best part: we saw the chef use a thermometer to check the chicken before plating. That’s when I knew this man is not out here cooking by blind faith. Standards were present. Chef-owner Dusk was friendly, cheerful, and humble. No ego, no nonsense, just one man out here carrying Western cuisine on his back. Only thing to note: please be patient during peak hours. It’s mostly a one-man show. The admiral is fighting alone. He’s also closed on weekends, which I respect. Legends need rest too. Came down around 2pm on a weekday, people were little but there were many takeaway orders. Food was ready around 10 minutes, taste was fantastic. Will definitely come down again to have their food, asked the owners and heard that they will be on grabfood soon. Looking forward to that! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5
