Set within the luxurious surroundings of Anantara Layan Phuket, this steakhouse feels like an evening designed for lingering. The room is warm and elegant, with dark wood, leather accents and an open view of the kitchen where chefs work carefully over the grill. The focus here is on exceptional meats and fresh seafood, prepared simply so the ingredients can speak for themselves.  Steaks arrive beautifully cooked, rich and deeply flavourful, while seafood dishes highlight the freshness of the island’s waters. The experience is elevated further by an extensive wine list, allowing each dish to be paired thoughtfully with bottles from around the world.  The pace of the evening feels deliberate and relaxed, the kind of place where conversation stretches easily between courses. It is less about spectacle and more about craftsmanship. AGE Restaurant at Anantara Layan — Consistency at Its Finest Dinner at AGE Restaurant within Anantara Layan was truly exceptional. It was more than a meal — it was a carefully crafted experience delivered with precision and genuine warmth. The service was professional, polished, and consistently friendly. I ordered the tenderloin, which was remarkably tender and beautifully executed, proving that technique matters more than marbling alone. My husband chose the dry-aged grouper — firm yet delicate, refined and perfectly balanced. We opted for cocktails instead of wine, and every recommendation was spot on. The AGE Cheeselle was inventive, playful, and beautifully balanced. A sincere thank you to Khun Cha Cha and the entire team for the warm smiles and attentive service throughout the evening. Our group of 8 had an absolutely unforgettable dinner at Age. If you are visiting the island then this is a destination you cannot miss. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish. The head chef Nicola came to our table and offered an incredible variety of starters which all were a hit. The real king of the night was the phenomenal Australian beef which was cooked to absolute perfection. The service was outstanding and the team handled our large group with professional attention. Our wine pairing elevated the entire meal to another level. Beyond the food the atmosphere on the terrace is simply gorgeous. Sitting there overlooking the bay provides the perfect background for a long dinner with friends. Huge thanks to Chef Nicola and the whole team for a world class evening. We will definitely be back.
