Came here only because Komala villas is closed for renovation. Ordered the South Indian Rice set only to find that it's quite a paler shade of what I'm used to at Komalas Villas. The side dishes and curries here are not as many or as delish and also it wasn't made known if they were refillable. It was just a quick meal and I wasn't too keen to even ask for any refills simply because the food were just mediocre. I think I'll just have to wait patiently for Komala Villas to reopen after reno (hopefully soon!). Won't recommend this place unless you are in the area and just looking for a quick bite. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

I don’t normally write reviews but the service here is amazing! The server is a real sweetheart, he saw my mother struggling to cool down her tea and brought her a second cup. He’s also super attentive and clears ur table instantly, making for a great environment! The food is great too, a 1000% recommend!! Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I visited Ananda Bhavan Vegetarian at Buffalo Road as a tourist from India, looking forward to a comforting vegetarian meal during my stay in Singapore. To begin with the positives, the food was good in taste and well-prepared, and the ambience was decent and pleasant. Unfortunately, the experience was severely marred by the unacceptable behaviour of the cashier at the billing counter. When I politely mentioned my food preferences, the cashier mocked me in a dismissive and disrespectful manner. More distressingly, he went on to speak negatively about me to another customer who arrived thereafter, within my hearing range. This was deeply hurtful and completely unprofessional. As a visitor to Singapore, such treatment was both shocking and disappointing. A restaurant, especially one frequented by international patrons, must uphold basic standards of courtesy, respect, and hospitality. Mocking a customer or ridiculing their preferences is indefensible. I strongly urge the management to take this matter seriously and initiate corrective action against such behaviour. While the food deserves appreciation, service of this nature undermines the restaurant’s reputation and leaves a lasting negative impression.
