Aqua Bar & Grill @Sea, Cha-Am What. A. Find. Just when we were hovering on the brink of summoning a Grab out of mild hunger-induced drama, we took a short ten-minute stroll from our hotel and discovered this absolute gem sitting right on the beach. And suddenly the night had options. The atmosphere is exactly what you want in Thailand — warm, buzzy, relaxed, ocean soundtrack included. Soft lighting, sand underfoot, sea breeze doing its thing. Effortless holiday energy. The menu? Super. A brilliant mix of Thai favourites and Western options if you fancy a break from spice. We didn’t need rescuing from Thai food — but it’s there if you want it. The dishes were generous, beautifully presented and full of flavour. Not polite portions. Proper, satisfying plates. Magnificent and plentiful. The welcome was genuinely friendly — not scripted, not stiff — just warm, relaxed hospitality done well. Yes, it’s a little pricier than Thailand once was, but let’s be honest — that upward shift is happening everywhere post-pandemic. And here? It feels justified. So good we went back the next evening.
