Now nestled along Pasir Panjang Road since late 2025, Bacino Trattoria continues to embody heartfelt Piedmontese hospitality under the stewardship of Francesco Sottile and his partner Evelyn. Hailing from Turin, Francesco brings with him the soul of northern Italy — a passionate chef-entrepreneur whose menu celebrates rustic traditions through handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and slow-simmered ragù crafted from premium ingredients that echo the flavours of his homeland. The garlic focaccia deserves special mention — beautifully blistered from the oven, its crust delicately crisp while the crumb remains airy and perfumed with sweet, roasted garlic. It is dangerously addictive. The penne arrabbiata arrives perfectly al dente, coated in a vibrant, punchy tomato sauce with just the right chilli heat — simple, honest, and deeply satisfying. Equally memorable is the grilled Iberico pork, succulent and richly marbled, kissed by flame to achieve a smoky caramelised edge while remaining tender within. Evelyn’s warm, attentive service completes the experience, making diners feel instantly at home. With an approachable wine list thoughtfully curated by Francesco, Bacino feels both intimate and authentic. I must return soon for their Italy-certified, legit Carbonara — if the rest of the meal is any indication, it will be the real deal. Excellent Italian food. So glad they moved from the East to West. Quality of food so authentic and taste great. We had a nice family birthday dinner celebration and a must return. Nice couple running this place. Parking is across the street just at the junction end of S Buona Vista. Highly recommend the pizzas, pastas and veal. Had a fun gift exchange at Bacino Italian Bistro with my friends and classmates. The food was all yummy I especially loved the garlic bread, tiramisu, spaghetti, and that big fish dish (I forgot the name haha). The restaurant is cozy and the staff were friendly.
