I highly recommend this coffee shop. It was closed when we got there early in the morning, so we returned around 11:30 am. I’m very glad that we did. The barista is kind and welcoming. You can tell that he has a passion for the art of coffee. I ordered the strawberry latte and was very tempted to go back and get another after my last few sips. As others mentioned, the cafe is quite small, but my friends and I very much enjoyed the cozy space. We (group of 6) were there when no one else was, so it felt like we had our own private space. The merchandise is of high quality, and there’s a unique version of tic-tac-toe available to guests while they wait. It was quite fun. Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Absolutely must-go for any coffee lovers in Kyoto. The coffee is meticulously prepared and there are a variety of beans for purchase as well. We got the strawberry latte and the apple pie latte - some of the best flavored lattes I’ve ever had. The owner is super friendly and the shop is very clean and quiet. It’s a small space so don’t plan to dine in, but it’s well worth taking it to go. They even had house made chocolate coffee bars which were very good as well. I will definitely be coming back here whenever I visit Kyoto! Service: Takeaway Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A tiny hidden cafe not too far from the Kyoto station Hachijyoguchi. As other says, you need to go upstairs taking off the shoes at the entrance. It looks more of a coffee store rather than cafe to drink in but you can sit with tiny chair, I think but probably best to take away. The staff probably the owner seems to know the coffee well, when I asked for recommendation and advice, answered very friendly They can sell beans as whole or grind from 100g, bought dark roasted Brazilian for espresso and Ethiopian for a filter coffee, both are good, I will try others next. I'll try also they brewed coffee next as I did not this time. Highly recommended. Service: Takeaway Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
