We had no intention of coming to BatterCatch at first, but the restaurant we originally planned to visit seemed rather disinterested in serving us. So we decided to give this place a try instead — and honestly, it turned out to be such a good decision. We were served by Kelly, who was attentive, warm, and so positive throughout the meal. Really appreciated the wonderful service from her. We ordered the halibut fish & chips and the fish pie, and both dishes were done exceptionally well. You could really taste the quality and freshness of the fish. We were also pleasantly surprised by the mint peas — it was our first time trying it and we actually loved it. All in all, it felt like we were somehow meant to end up here for an unexpected lunch. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a lovely lunch here. Food was really tasty paired with the excellent service from the service staff on duty. I had a very pleasant experience at Batter Catch. The staff here are incredibly friendly, warm, and hospitable. One thing I really appreciated was how proactive they were — they immediately noticed that I had a toddler with me and thoughtfully provided colouring papers and colour pens to keep my daughter entertained while waiting for the food to be served. Such a thoughtful touch that made a huge difference for parents dining with young kids. What stood out even more was how attentive the team was throughout the entire experience. They constantly checked in on us to ensure everything was okay, whether the food met our expectations, and if we needed anything else. Both the counter staff and service staff were extremely professional, welcoming, and always served with a smile, which made us feel very at home. I would definitely recommend coming during lunch hours as they have really great lunch deals as well. The food was surprisingly very good, extremely value for money, and we genuinely had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back again.
