Hard to believe that Chef Bernard did not have any formal culinary training! Every dish was soulful, genuine and full of flavors. The crab beehoon broth was so good. The soup was also so full of flavors. The fried lychee was so refreshing. He is so accommodating to our needs and made us felt at home. We had a great birthday celebration! Thanks Chef Bernard! Belly Umami is definitely one of the top private dining destination. Chef Bernard’s inspiring culinary journey is reflected in his thoughtful, creative and ingredient driven approach to every dish he serves. The undisputed star of the evening, the crab beehoon. The broth was extraordinary, rich, layered and overflowing with natural crab sweetness and deep savouriness. Every spoonful carried an intoxicating aroma and remarkable depth that stopped conversation at the table. Truly mind blowing and easily one of the finest crab beehoon renditions in Singapore. Warm, cosy service and engaging conversations with Bernard completed an unforgettable evening. Belly Umami is not just a meal, it is a showcase of passion, creativity and culinary artistry.
