I’ve been to Breakfast Grill a few times and previously left a positive review because I enjoyed my previous visits. I’ve also ordered their sandwiches through GrabFood before. The sandwiches are still the one thing I would recommend, especially when dining in, as delivery can make them a little soggy from the sauces. Unfortunately, this visit was quite different. We decided to try something other than the sandwiches and ordered the spam fries, scrambled eggs and shakshouka. The spam fries took around 15 minutes, the scrambled eggs about 20 minutes, and the shakshouka only arrived after roughly 35 minutes. What made the wait more frustrating was seeing two other couples who arrived after us order sandwiches, receive their food and finish eating before our remaining dishes had even arrived. I understand that different dishes can have different preparation times, but 35 minutes for one main dish made the meal feel very disjointed. Food wise, the spam fries were quite average for us and we regretted ordering them. The scrambled eggs were decent, buttery and served warm. For me, the sandwiches remain the only thing I personally would recommend. This review isn’t meant to take away from the sandwiches, which I’ve enjoyed on other visits, but the overall experience this time was disappointing enough that I don’t see myself coming back anytime soon. Tip: If you do visit, I’d suggest sticking to the sandwiches, as that still seems to be what they do best. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Came to Breakfast Grill on a weekday for brunch after it was recommended by a friend, and we're so glad we gave it a try. The café has a cosy and welcoming vibe, and the staff were friendly. Service was also fast even though the café was quite busy. We ordered the Magic Mushroom and BFF sammies, and both were really good with generous fillings. It's slightly on the pricey side, but the quality definitely makes it worth it. We also couldn't resist ordering the truffle shoestring fries, and they turned out to be one of our favourites – crispy and so addictive. For drinks, we had the matcha latte and the Dirty Sesame. The Dirty Sesame was the highlight for us. The roasted sesame aroma was amazing, and every sip was rich and satisfying. To end the meal, we shared the lemon meringue tart. It was a little sweeter than we usually prefer. Overall, we had a really enjoyable brunch here. Great food, excellent drinks and friendly service. This is one of the coziest cafés I've visited. Tucked away on a quiet little street, it's a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cozy atmosphere and soft background music make it the perfect place to slow down and enjoy a sandwich and a cup of coffee. I recently visited again and noticed that the menu has been updated. I tried the Cheesy Bacon Tots, and they were delicious—crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor. The portion is quite generous, though, so I'd recommend sharing it unless you have a big appetite. If you visit on a weekday, you'll likely enjoy an even quieter and more peaceful dining experience. If you're looking for a cozy café where you can relax, enjoy good food, and take a break from the city's hustle, this place is definitely worth a visit.
