I wanted to love it with all the good reviews and ambiance but unfortunately the cocktails and service was terrible. It is a nice concept to have no menu and rather create cocktails based on the clients wishes but unfortunately it just doesn't work. I saw the same with a couple sitting next to me where they could only stomach a sip of their drink. With mine we asked for a singapore sling and mohito. The mohito was interesting as it used a local rice spirit but not much more than that and the singapore sling just was overpowered by artificial cherry. I never leave negative reviews but unfortunately this place most definitely dose not live up to the hype. Price per person: ฿200–400 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Stumbled upon this place after a short walk from Chinatown. I am a sucker for such unique, cosy bars. The interior is very well curated and reflects the artists/owners’ impeccable taste (we’ve got some things in common). The bartender was such a joy. He made me incredible, custom drinks. I had 3 cocktails and let him do his magic and each one was better than the last. I am definitely going to visit again on the next trip. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you’re seeking an underground, off-the-beaten-path bar experience in Bangkok, Bukowski & Co. on Song Wat Road is a must-visit. Tucked away in a secluded alley, this intimate venue is a hidden gem for those who appreciate a touch of mystery with their night out. Be prepared to “earn” your entry — its unassuming location adds to the allure. The overall vibe is distinctively vintage, with raw, mismatched furniture and softly muted film projections on the wall. The intimate lighting strikes a balance between moody and inviting, while the low-volume music fosters conversation without the need to shout. Space is limited — with around 20 seats — making it ideal for a cozy night with a close circle of friends or an offbeat date night. The quality of service is outstanding. The English-speaking staff are professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They’re happy to guide you through the drink selection or craft a tailor-made cocktail just for you. The drinks menu is well-curated, with highlights like the Brooklyn Defender IPA (5.5% ABV) alongside classic cocktails, beers, and a modest wine selection. Prices are fair — 240B for a craft IPA is well within reason for Bangkok’s cocktail scene. Cleanliness is notable despite the deliberately “aged” vintage aesthetic. It’s a testament to the bar’s attention to detail that even in a space designed to feel worn and timeless, hygiene remains a priority. While the location may challenge first-timers — hidden up a narrow staircase and off a small dead-end soi — it’s part of the adventure. The nearest MRT station (Wat Mangkon) is a 10-minute walk away. If you’re familiar with The National Bar on the main road, you’re close; just look for the side alley and head upstairs. What sets Bukowski & Co. apart is its underground charm and sense of discovery. The weekly movie nights featuring independent or art-house cinema add to its unique character, drawing in a friendly crowd of Thai youth and a few savvy expats. It’s a space where Bangkok’s creative scene subtly converges. Since first visiting in December 2024, Bukowski & Co. remains on our list of places to return to, especially with small groups of clients looking for a post-dinner detour in Chinatown. If you’re in search of a place with character, charm, and cultural authenticity, Bukowski & Co. delivers.
