I tried the lunch buffet at Park Café, Park Hotel Hong Kong and was pleasantly surprised by both the variety and the value for money. From the cold section, there’s a good selection of sashimi and chilled seafood – salmon, snapper, herring, plus mussels, clams and prawns. The sashimi tasted fresh for this price range, and the prawns were firm and naturally sweet, not watery or mushy. The hot food section is quite satisfying. There are fried items, rice and noodles, along with a big bowl of japanese noodle soup that was much better than expected – the broth was flavourful without being overly salty. On my plate I also had roast beef, pasta, grilled vegetables and a few hot appetizers. Overall the flavours are solid and there’s enough variety that you won’t get bored. I also appreciate the salad bar, which has plenty of greens and toppings so you can balance out all the heavier dishes. Drinks like coffee and juice are included, so you can sit back and actually take your time with the meal. With their frequent buy‑one‑get‑one promotion, the price comes down to around HK$190.8 per person on weekdays, which is a very good deal for a hotel buffet in Tsim Sha Tsui. If you’re looking for a casual hotel buffet with a comfortable setting, decent quality and strong value, Park Café is definitely worth a try.
