店員さんがとても親切。子供が食べられる辛くないメニューもある。そしてとにかく麻婆豆腐がうまい。

綺麗な店内でした。中華丼は子どもも美味しく食べてくれました。麻婆豆腐は辛かったけど美味しかった。また行きたいお店です。

I recently stopped by Chen’s Mapo Tofu at The Star Vista after hearing quite a bit about this brand that specialises in Sichuan flavours, and it turned out to be a very satisfying meal. The highlight for me was the Mala Don. The flavour was surprisingly authentic and, in my opinion, even better than some of the Sichuan restaurants I’ve tried in Singapore. I went for Level 2 spice, which delivered a good kick without being overwhelming. The familiar mala numbing sensation was very enjoyable – spicy, fragrant and quite “shiok” if you enjoy bold Sichuan flavours. Another standout was the Mala Aburi Chashu with garlic chahan. The fried rice had a lovely wok hei and was rich and savoury. The slightly sweet, well-torched chashu paired nicely with the garlicky fried rice, creating a good balance of flavours for the don. Overall, a very enjoyable meal with surprisingly authentic mala flavours. Definitely a place worth returning to when the craving for something spicy and comforting.
