Final Review - Chinatown Teh Tarik 40 Sago St. Singapore 059029 A Chinatown Teh Tarik curry house is open-space restaurant located in the heart of Chinatown has become one of the favourite locations for visitors and tourists. We had the opportunity to visit this restaurant, which is on a street frequented by many visitors and tourists, after we visited the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple on Vesak Day. We came for lunch around 13:30. We ordered Paper Dosa and Masala Dosa and Teh Tarik with less sugar. As for the dishes we tried, Disappointed, because both dishes did not meet our expectations. Paper Dosa served does not have a thin texture as desired, it can even be said that it is not there at all. It doesn't taste crunchy. The sambal is quite good. However, Masala Dosa can be said to be satisfying. This dish was very disappointing and not worth the price. Just look at Paper Dosa and Masala Dosa texture. (Triangle shape). We didn't expect such a touristy place to serve good food, but it turned out to be too expensive. We recommend to avoid this place. Regarding the price, All dishes here are very expensive if you look at the menu. The price of Teh Tarik is also a little higher than normal Teh Tarik, and it is not foamy enough. Atmosphere You can get a comfortable seat outside, along the street, but be prepared as the place is quite hot even with a ceiling fan. Feedback for stall operators about our favourite dishes! I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Karim who prepared our meal. I told him that the Dosa served was far from the original texture which should be crispy. I witnessed how it prepared it, but it was not crispy enough to produce Paper Dosa which was not as expected. He agreed to that. As an expression, it offers Teh Tarik to us for free. Our view on this unique dish! A popular dish here is Paper Dosa. These dishes should be crispy, freshly prepared, and best served hot — offering a satisfying experience. "Eat fresh, feel the freshness, and enjoy the buzz." We haven't tried the other dishes yet. They offer vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. To enjoy good Indian cuisine, explore the Little India area. There are many good restaurants that offer satisfaction for a happy stomach. If you're staying around a residential area, there's plenty of good Indian Muslim food and locals can recommend the best stalls to visit. Cheer! Sensational masala dosa. Excellent service, great staff, great food. Wandering through Chinatown on a recent trip to Singapore and stumbled across Tek Tarik. Very glad we did. Highly recommend Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
