Very pleased with this find at Capitol! “Singapore soul food” - what that means I’m not sure, but the dishes we had were great. We ordered their Kueh Pie Tee, Bah Ku Teh, Dry Laksa, Assam Stringray, Duck, some pork ribs I think and a soup. Didn’t really touch the meats but I enjoyed the Laksa and Kueh Pie Tee was delicious. I had their Trio Orh Ni for dessert which I think might have been for sharing since it’s huge but I finished it all. Nice place and vibes. Service was a mixed bag but food made up for it.

Feels very China /HK vibe and decor but it’s really the love of Chinese and local Singaporean cuisine. Love the familiarity yet fusion presentation of old local delights that are deconstructed and reimagined in very interesting culinary way The food brings about familiarity and yet interesting textures and flavours brought together Was a feast and enjoyable moment for my parents. The staff was also attentive and very kind to help me get two candles on the desserts and sang Happy Birthday to my parents as well We got the communal set ,though some items were not available but the chef was kind enuff to replace some of the items and let us have the communal set and it was great as I no need to rack my head on what to order but being able to taste test all the recommended dishes of the restaurant Support local!
