The generous portions here really stood out to me. Even the House Salad came with a really huge grilled chicken thigh. Tried the Thai Green Curry Seafood Pasta which was packed with ingredients along with their Fried Chicken & Waffles and Thai crispy fish with Thai chilli sauce too. The giant milkshakes were one of the highlights and the molten lava cake made a nice ending to the meal. Overall a nice casual spot to gather with friends plus it’s halal certified and opens till 5am daily too. Meal type: Brunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I visited Citrus by the Pool with 6 pax to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday. I chose this place because it looked nice and cosy online, and it is halal certified, which was important to us. Before coming, my wife called to make a reservation and was told that no booking was needed and we could just walk in. However, when we arrived, we noticed many tables marked as reserved via Chope, which was confusing and disappointing. We also brought a birthday cake, only to be informed that no outside food or drinks are allowed. While I understand house rules, I asked if we could instead purchase a birthday cake from the restaurant, but was told they only sell cake slices, not whole cakes. This really didn’t make sense to me. We’ve celebrated birthdays at many restaurants, and most places allow a birthday cake for such occasions. I expressed how unreasonable this felt, and the only compromise offered was that my mother-in-law could cut the cake but not consume it there, which took away from the celebration. We still stayed for dinner since we had already traveled there . The * food was okay, nothing particularly memorable. Our total bill for mains, drinks, and sides came up to $200++ Overall, the experience was average. Due to the poor handling of reservations and birthday celebrations, I would not recommend Citrus by the Pool if you’re planning a birthday makan makan session. Hi Khan Family, Thank you for choosing our restaurant to celebrate the birthday and for sharing your feedback with us. We truly appreciate your visit and sincerely apologise for the disappointment you experienced. Regarding the reservation, when you contacted us, we had availability for the requested time. As reservations need to be made at least two hours in advance, our staff suggested that you walk in directly, and we were happy to accommodate your group upon arrival. With regard to the cake, due to MUIS regulations, we are unable to allow outside food and drinks, including cakes. If we had known in advance that it was a birthday celebration, our team would have informed you of this policy earlier. Our staff did explain the policy on the day and offered our in-house dessert options. While some establishments may allow outside cakes, each restaurant has its own policies that we are required to follow. Once again, we are sorry that the overall experience did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your honest feedback and thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you.
