The proprietor is an outright bully. He's sacarstic, offensive and rude. If not for him, this place is worthy of 5 stars. His wife is lovely and whips up one of the best fish soups I have had. She does a mean upsell that's hard to resist! The soup is flavourful, refined and mild, the fish slices fresh and firm. Barring the brute in the shop, their fish soup is a comforting gem and must be FEP's best kept secret. Meal type: Other Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

We tried the button mushroom fish soup at $7. The owner claimed his fish soup is super flavourful but it wasn't. Felt thirsty after drinking it.The fish slices were thin and there was not many slices.The portion was so small. The noodles were literally swimming in the soup, button mushrooms were the canned type(cheap) and there were so few halves. After the meal, I felt half full and had to go back to cook myself a bowl of Maggi noodles.

There was only just me and my friend and it was about 11.30 before lunch crowd. The boss directed us to sit inside the shop but I told the boss inside smells fishy and I didn’t wanna smell like a fish as I was attending an event after that. What he said time was appalling. He said that he sells fish so it’s too bad the shop smells like fish. I asked if I could sit outside and he said it’s for 5 pax. He told me next time then in hokkien. So my thoughts are: 1. Only 2 of us are eating, I don’t think we will take up too much time eating to invade into his lunch time crowd just because we took up the 5 pax seats. Even if we did, he can politely tell us that he needs the seats for the 5 pax customers. 2. Does it warrant for him to pass such comments to customers? 3. Maybe he has earned enough that he doesn’t have to care about his attitude towards his paying customers? If he has earned enough, then he shouldn’t be operating the stall and provide bad attitude to paying customers. I highly do not recommend this stall unless you don’t mind be getting bad attitude from the owner. I have not tried the food. Even if the food is good, I will not allow myself who is a paying customer to get such bad attitude from the owner regardless he’s is famous not not. Singapore has plenty of good food around. He is not the best. I would. Suggest the owner to relook into his attitude towards paying customers or he can simply close down his stall and go for his retirement. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
