Nice, tidy kitchen with copper cookware ready to go. Bathroom stocked with towels and mouthwash. Warm, cozy lighting, attentive staff, a professional chef, and a great steak. A gem in Seoul. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ₩50,000–60,000

Simply our absolute favorite restaurant in Seoul! The food here doesn't just look incredible it actually tastes amazing, which isn't always a guarantee in the city where everything seems to be made for Instagram. All dishes are prepared fresh and with love right in front of you in their open kitchen. Their regular menu is top-notch and incredibly affordable for the high quality of produce, but you need to try their lunch menu! It features some of the best burgers in Seoul for an unbeatable price. Pair it with an amazing Poutine with homemade cheese - pure bliss! The staff is well-trained, and the owner is not only an awesome chef but easily one of the nicest restaurateurs around. His kindness and welcoming nature are a true breath of fresh air. Honestly, we go back just as much for the hospitality as we do for the amazing food. Highly recommended when in the Hyoja-dong area! I haven’t been home (Montréal) in two years. Chef Bae and his team at Cuisine La Cle reminded me of how much I miss it, and how grateful I was to find a true taste of it in Korea. The hospitality was great, the atmosphere brought me back to small places in the plateau or the old port, and the dishes were a testament that French Canadian cuisine isn’t ONLY poutine (although I will come back for that). The veal was a nod to what makes Montréal great - its multiculturalism - a perfect mix with its mozzarella/tomato salad with tzatziki inspired sauce of two of the great immigrant communities of the city - Italian and Greek. The creme brûlée was also a star as one of the best I have had.I really wish Chef Bae all the best and hope that Cuisine La Cle becomes a destination for anyone living in or visiting Seoul.
