I really wanted to like Da Domenico, but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype—or the price tag. The food is painfully average; nothing special, nothing memorable. A plate of spaghetti with meatballs for around HK$800 is simply unjustifiable. I’ve had comparable—if not better—pasta for a fraction of the cost elsewhere in Hong Kong, and certainly in Italy for much less. The decor is sparse and the ambiance feels cold rather than cozy or romantic. For these prices, you’d expect warmth, attention to detail, and exceptional cuisine, but Da Domenico delivers none of that. I don’t understand how they can charge fine-dining prices for such mediocre offerings. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $500+
