The food is absolutely delicious. Hot and generous portion and with excellent presentation. I love the addition of a serving of tea and a yakult to compliment the meal. Very friendly staff with big smiles. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Good Food & Great Value at Damsot Seongsu (With a Funny Ordering Quirk!). Stopped by Damsot in Seongsu for lunch, and overall it was a solid dining experience with great flavor and fair pricing! Here is a breakdown of my visit:. The Food: I ordered the meat pot rice platter, and the flavors were overall delicious and well-balanced. It is definitely a satisfying spot if you are craving a comfort meal in Seongsu. The Price: Very reasonable and fair for the portion size and quality, especially given how expensive eating out in Gangnam/Seongsu can get. A Few Minor Quirks to Note:. Fried Chicken Texture: The chicken was fried a bit too heavy/hard for my liking—a slightly lighter batter or less time in the fryer would make a big difference. Rigid Menu Policy: I asked if I could order a side portion of meat to add to my meal, but the staff strictly stuck to the rule that they could only sell items explicitly listed on the menu. The hilarious part? The owner was sitting right next to my table happily eating a side portion of extra meat! Rules are rules, I suppose! Despite the strict side-order policy and the extra-crunchy chicken, the core dish was great, and the price is right. I’d still recommend giving it a try if you're in the area!
