Had a really enjoyable dinner at Daruma Tavern and honestly, it exceeded expectations. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, with that bright neon frontage giving it a fun, casual vibe — perfect for group dinners or chill nights out. We ordered their prawn noodle and a seafood platter, and both were solid. The broth for the noodles was rich, savoury, and packed with flavour — you can tell it’s been properly cooked down. Ingredients were fresh, especially the prawns and seafood, which were juicy and sweet. The chilli added a nice kick without overpowering the dish. The seafood platter was a highlight — generous portions, well-balanced, and great for sharing. Everything came together nicely with crispy bits, eggs, and that comforting gravy tying it all up. Also tried their pork knuckle (didn’t manage to take a photo), and it was seriously good. The skin was perfectly crispy while the meat inside stayed tender and juicy — exactly what you want from a good pork knuckle. Service was friendly and efficient despite the crowd, and the overall experience felt smooth. Definitely a spot I’d come back to again. Highly recommended if you’re looking for hearty, satisfying food in a casual setting.
