3.5 Stars for Casual Lunch Malay Rice. Traditional Taste. Recommended for your quick fix of chilli if you need the “spicy punch”. Relatively affordable at around $7 for 1 meat, 1 begedil, 1 veg with rice. Sitting on level 2 of Tai Seng Centre, most people probably won’t notice this event place selling food during lunch time. I recommend the venue because the place is cooling, nice looking and has seats for many people if you are bringing your whole office out for lunch. I ordered White Rice with: - Beef Rendang: my favourite of the rice. Classic taste - Begedil: Flavourful. Classic - Bean Sprouts: The way it was prepared was more like a salad than a stir-fried dish Overall, I would say the taste is Classic. If you are looking for standard Malay food, you won’t be disappointed. The choice of dishes may be limited if you or your friends don’t take spicy food. The least spicy meat on the menu is curry chicken the day I visited. I didn’t order it so I don’t know how spicy it is. Generally, if I have a friend who can’t take spicy food, I wouldn’t bring him/her there for lunch. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
