Detour — A Quiet Coffee Escape in the Heart of the CBD Tucked away in the golden corner of the CBD, Detour is the kind of coffee shop that feels like a little urban sanctuary. I arrived around 6pm, and the space was bright, airy, and beautifully quiet — in fact, I had the entire place to myself, which made for a lovely pocket of calm after a busy day. The service really stood out. Even though iced tea wasn't on the menu, he happily accommodated my request and whipped one up without hesitation. He also noticed the ice in my hot tea had melted and kindly checked in to ask if I needed more — the kind of small, thoughtful gesture that speaks volumes about genuine hospitality. Another quiet win: the air conditioning was wonderfully cool, which is honestly a huge plus with summer creeping in. For anyone who wilts in the heat (myself included), Detour is a refreshing little refuge to duck into. Between the bright, peaceful ambience, attentive service, and cool comfort, Detour is a lovely spot to slow down, sip something good, and take a breather from the CBD buzz. While in Hong Hong was always on the look out for good coffee. Came across Detour Central. Great little cafe for those serious about good coffee. Also, great light food options. Ordered a Piccolo Coffee and a Chocolate Croissant. Both excellent, even better the croissant was warmed to a perfect temp with crispy pastry. Sat by the open side window bench which is great for watching the world passing by. Also had coffee and avocado toast (which was fantastic) at Detour Queen's Road Sheung Wan. Limited seating but great corner location. Recommend both highly. Meal type: Other Price per person: HK$1–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
