Very disappointing experience at Diplomat Bar. We are staying at the hotel, and today was my wife’s birthday. Since most other places in the hotel were already closed, we came to Diplomat Bar hoping to have a simple and happy birthday moment. We had bought a small cake and only wanted to light the candle and celebrate briefly. However, the attitude from the female staff was extremely unpleasant from the moment we arrived. She looked annoyed, unfriendly, and made us feel very unwelcome. As soon as we took out the cake, she immediately told us to put it away because outside food was not allowed. I explained that we only wanted to blow the candle for a quick birthday celebration, and she reluctantly allowed it, but with a very unhappy attitude. Even before we could properly celebrate, she started rushing us to order, as if we were only there to take up space. This felt very uncomfortable and embarrassing, especially because we are hotel guests and simply wanted to celebrate a special occasion inside the hotel where we are staying. I understand that restaurants and bars may have policies about outside food, but the way this situation was handled was cold, rude, and completely lacking in hospitality. A birthday should be a happy moment, but this experience really ruined the mood. Very disappointed with the service attitude at Diplomat Bar. Definitely not the kind of experience we expected from a hotel lobby bar. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: ฿400–600
