Dookki was one of those places my friends and I went to all the time back in middle school in Korea, so every visit brings back so many memories. I’m so glad there’s a Dookki in Singapore too! If you go, make sure to have at least two rounds of tteokbokki before finishing with the fried rice Korean tip: For a more savory broth, mix 60% water and 40% fish cake broth when making your tteokbokki. Dookki is genuinely one of those places my friends and I somehow end up at every few months like it’s part of our life routine. The spicy soup is chef kiss because it’s spicy enough to feel shiok but not the “crying sweating regretting my life decisions” kind of spicy. Perfect balance. The chicken wings are SO underrated. Especially the cheese and sweet & sour flavours. And the best part is ending the meal with DIY fried rice with ham, kimchi, seaweed. Price quite affordable for buffet standards nowadays and the staff here have always been friendly even during peak hour chaos. Only downside: weekends are MAD crowded. No reservations, walk in only. Tips for navigating 1. If you are new, u can ask the service staff to explain concept of cooking. 2. There is free drinks too. 3. The sauce guide is spot on. 4. heat indicator 4-6> are good for cooking while 1-3 is good for retaining heat For my experience, i tried 2 cream 2 Dookki = Rose sauce-like. Overall is about 8.2/9.5 as did not try the cheesepull yet There is ice cream but i turn it down. (rather good full experience) Forgotten to take the final result of 拌饭/ mix rice with soup base. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
