I don’t usually leave negative reviews and I generally try not to. However, this was our first time trying cakes from Estee and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. We ordered a slice of durian cake to share but the texture was very dense and the taste was overwhelmingly sweet. It also didn’t seem fresh as it looked a bit old. We couldn’t finish it at all. At $8.90, it definitely didn’t feel worth the price. Meal type: Other Price per person: SGD 1–10

I had high hopes when the staff recommended me three of their popular choices, and chose the durian pengat. It was more like, 80% sponge cake and 20% durian; moreover, the sponge cake, although there were hints of durian, tasted dry. For the price they charge, it was average. I think it’ll be months, if ever, to make a return. Food: 3 Service: 4 Service: Dine in Price per person: $1–10
