There's a better coffee shop nearby - Henly which serves better coffee. Service is mediocre. Cleanliness can be improved as I see birds nibbling on unattended dishes. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

This place is a genuine kopitiam—tables, Hawker stalls wrapping around, and plates piled high with homey food. What fuels the buzz? Think soup versions of bak chor mee, comforting porridge brimming with pork balls and offal, killer carrot cake, and chicken cutlets that spar with even the popular brands across the street—all dished up for around $4–5 a plate . One reviewer said the pork porridge “was filled with sweetness and flavour… chock a block filled with pork balls” and a massive bowl that took forever to cool—just how comforting that felt .
