The restaurant achieves high marks for its "modern look," which effectively uses retro-chic design to maintain a sense of "heritage" within a retail environment. The "Braised Beef Noodles" are the standout achievement of this outlet, showcasing a "tender" protein and "QQ" noodles that benefit from sophisticated braising techniques and high-quality starch sourcing. The "Shanghai Xiao Long Bao" requires further attention regarding thermal management. The "cold" service temperature is a significant detractor that prevents the "umami-rich" soup from performing as intended. Similarly, the "Hae Bi Hiam Fried Carrot Cake," while "unique," could benefit from a more aggressive "Wok Hei" application to ensure it moves beyond "alright" into the realm of the "memorable". For the diner in the East, this outlet provides a "convenient" and "shiok" gateway to the Swee Choon legacy. There was a time where I loved Swee Choon dim sum but nowadays I am not sure if my taste has changed or if they quality/taste of their food dropped. It is still okay but no longer looking forward to eating them or go out of my way to find and eat it. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
