tofu foamed matcha ($9.5)? say less. you could definitely taste some of the soya notes from the foam, and it was a lovely experience. tried the iced classic matcha ($8.5) too, pretty good but would recommend some sweetness (syrup) as i opted it out. the brown butter waffles ($8) smelled heavenly and were crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside. we had the biscoff and black sesame flavour. both scoops surprisingly complemented well with each other. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Visited this matcha café along Simon Road recently and had a pleasant experience. The shop is neatly and simply renovated, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were polite and took our orders promptly. We ordered two different matcha drinks to try. One thing we appreciated was the option to customize the sugar level. We chose the lowest sugar level and found that it allowed the rich matcha flavour to come through much better. There was a gentleman at the counter, whom we believe is the owner. He looked young, was friendly and pleasant, and even offered tea for customers to enjoy. It was also nice to see many regular customers dropping by, which speaks well of the place. This was our first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last. We had just finished lunch nearby, so we didn’t get to try any of the desserts this time. We’ll definitely be back to sample them on our next visit. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Fatto Catto is a cosy spot near Kovan MRT, great for a quiet dessert or tea break. The matcha is rich, smooth, not too sweet and easy to drink. The ice cream stands out, especially the light matcha. They also have more unique flavours like mulled wine or banana. Waffle pairs well with the scoops too. Prices are slightly high, but the quality justifies it. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a relaxed vibe make it a place worth revisiting. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
