It’s Saturday lunch hours at 1pm and it’s not fully opened. Some stalls like chicken claypot delights, ayam penyet, makan fried rice weren’t open. Noticed a very familiar chicken rice stall 金福宝鸡饭！ Turns out it’s the same stall I had at near workplace, near the Jalan Besar Swimming Complex. We had chicken rice and it was surprisingly very good! The chicken are tender and comes with a lot of flesh. The chillis were on point as well as the soup. We knew soup will be good since they sell soup too! On top of the roasted chicken and steamed chicken rice, we also ordered a roasted chicken noodles too! The noodle was great too, springy and flavourful. Satisfying lunch :) Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ordered lemon chicken rice takeaway and paid at 1.51pm. Told by the shorter guy that I need to wait 5mins, so I decided to walk around nearby instead of waiting. At about 2pm, I returned to the stall but didn’t see any packet ready for me. Assuming that they needed time to fried chicken, I continued standing in front of them waiting. This time, another staff who finished his lunch returned to stall and then walked away. By now, there is a constant queue of people ordering and I went up to ask the same guy if my order is ready. He said that he thought that his partner gave me my order and so I walked away. And he had no idea why I stood there waiting. I was dumbfounded by how he brushed away his responsibility. Because, upon ordering, I walked away immediately after making payment. So how it is possible that his partner prepared my order within a minute? I waited for chicken rice for close to 25mins and that will be my last order from this stall. Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
