Read a good review of this place so we came by to try. Ordered Sauerkraut Fish in Golden Soup and Fortune Mix Vegetable. Food was pretty good, the fish were fresh, but we found that the ratio of the sauerkraut was a bit too much for our liking. The mix vegetable was quite nice and clean taste, ingredients were fresh too. Good service, reasonable price, and generous portion. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Established in 2021, Fortune Garden is a Dongbei restaurant with chefs from Jilin, China . It serves a wide variety of Dongbei, Sichuanese and even dim sums. Service is good but the food quality is not as good as nearby Dongbei restaurants like Dongbei Ren Jia or Dongbei Xiao Chu. Portions are large and is priced at a premium with 10% Service Charge and 9% GST. Dongbei cuisine (Northeast Chinese cuisine or Dongbei cai) is a hearty, comfort-food style originating from China's three northeastern provinces. Known for its cold-weather suitability, it features, stewing, roasting, and pickling, using heavy sauces, garlic, and soybean paste. Key staples include wheat-based noodles, dumplings, and premium rice; the most famous dish being Guo Bao Ruo, a version of Chinese schnitzel glazed in sweet & vinegar sauce.
