taste is pretty normal. pork ribs were overcooked as they were cut off different thickness so the thin ones were way too dry and stringy. the fish however was huge. for $51 you get a whole red grouper that was really substantial. def suitable to share among 4-5. key note: come here for the voluminous fish meat Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Ordered white beehoon from this stall. Asked if the shop is closed for break, server says it’s opened. Waited awhile to see no one cooking, check back again with the server and he thought we did not proceed with the order. He called the so called head chef in who had the worst attitude. Dear boss, please don’t let such staff ruin your business. At least the bee hoon was nice. If the crew is on break and is closed for rest, I’m totally fine if we’re told. Meal type: Lunch Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Tried the steamboat and enjoyed it twice previously. So, tried other zi zhar items at my 3rd visit, as steamboat would only be available in the evening. Sotong was good. Bean dish was bad as overfried, but the hae-bee in it was crispy and nice. Venison item was just OK. But I am utterly disappointed with the Teochew style steamed promfret as the fish itself wasn't fresh at all. The waitress billed me $80 for that stale promfret fish. Luckily, I told her to check as I earlier saw it at $51.80 promotional price. Even at that price, it was still exp for a small fish.
