Plenty seats behind the shop but quite hot. Limited tables in front and side of the shop. Quite crowded. Came here for breakfast before the walking trail. Saw long queue for the Bak Chor mee. So never wait. The shop inside is quite warm. Ordered prata and paid as no one queue. Who knows there were plenty people already ordered and waited elsewhere. I have no choice to stand there and wait as no number given. Common items like plain prata and egg prata, you might get it shorter time. Overall the prata was quite good. Chicken curry and Dal sauces are quite tasty. If I pass by again, will try the Bak Chor mee. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Today, Kitty and I were on a pilgrimage to Sri Murugan Hill Temple for a Ganesha blessing. On our way out, we stumbled upon Ga-Hock Eating House 佳福餐馆, and a craving for a hearty breakfast led us to its doors. The moment we stepped inside, Kitty was transported back in time. It felt like a true old-school eatery, radiating a nostalgic charm. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a sense of warmth that made her feel like she was in Singapore back in the early 1980s. She loved the no-frills, authentic coffee shop feel. I raved about their mushroom minced meat pork noodles, so Kitty decided to give it a try. As per my recommendation, the noodles were indeed delicious, bursting with flavor. The crispy fried pork added a delightful crunch, taking the dish to another level. Not only was the food delicious, but it was also incredibly affordable. We were impressed by the value for money, especially considering the quality and the generous portions. And the service was just as good. The staff was friendly and efficient, and we felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. It truly felt like a traditional Hong Kong coffee shop experience. Overall, Kitty's first experience at Ga-Hock Eating House was fantastic. She'd definitely give it a 5-star rating!
