I usually go to Sin Manbok along the same row since it’s cheaper and has better portions but there was a long queue on the day I went so I decided to try out Gangnam bbq since there was no queue. I ordered the beef and pork set. I tried to cook my own meat since me and my partner have different preferences on the doneness of our beef and I didn’t want to bother the staff since it was an almost full restaurant but this male staff came over after I placed my meat said I was doing it wrong? So he took the tongs from me and placed the beef I was cooking back onto the raw meat tray and cooked the pork first Fast forward to when he started cooking our beef on the open fire grill(?) he left our table for quite awhile so we tried to cook and take the beef out ourselves but when he saw us doing so he came over again and took the tongs from me then he realised the beef was burnt but still continued to flip it around.. I was abit shocked that it was damn chaoda when he placed it on the serving plate.. the meat was really burnt.. (circled blue in pic) We went to ask if they can give us a replacement cause it was burnt then they said okay they’ll prepare it so we waited and what they brought out was 1 SMALL SLICE of meat then they cut into HALF.. (circled yellow in pic) i was quite baffled i looked at my partner like Huh??? we were still so hungry so we just tried eating the burnt ones as well but I ended up spitting out 2 pieces cause it was just so bitter and the other was just pure fats. Was still so hungry after this $100+ meal even after eating rice ball still hungry.. can u believe the meat portions were just so pathetic and it was a 2 pax meal The quality of the meat was not bad but it cant justify the service and price honestly just go Sin Manbok cheaper and can eat until so full you can’t even finish lol (Forgot they also gave us the wrong soup meant for another table lucky we haven’t drink yet) Price per person: $50–60 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

Very disappointing experience. The food was not good — the complimentary steamed egg was bland and the meat portion was extremely small. The service was also poor. We were told all tables were reserved when we asked to sit at the back, yet even after 90 minutes, those tables remained empty and the staff isn’t friendly and nice also. There will be no next visit, as there are many other Korean food options on the same street with better value and service. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
