Would preface this review that I've been a repeat customer for some time before my most recent visit on 25 Oct 2025. Have been to Grand Cru Wine Concierge several times in the past with my partner, right from its opening. The experience has always been pleasant (particularly from "Lee"), so much so that we have recommended the place to several friends, and brought our overseas friends to wine/dine here due to the good food, excellent wine, and chill/quiet environment. On my most recent visit, however, we were extremely disappointed by the service. We had planned to enjoy some tapas and drinks, but were only informed after seating that the tapas from Vivino was unavailable due to a private event, and only food from Casa Vostra would be available. While we understand that this can happen, it would have been better to let guests know about this in advance, as it may have affected our dining choices. When ordering the food and wine, we were [1] told that there are slight changes to the pesto pasta, and [2] one of the wines (Chassange Montrachet) was no longer available. While this is also understandable, it would have been good to have this already reflected in the menu or have the staff inform us beforehand, instead of only being told after our decision was made. When the wine was served, we were not shown the bottle that it was served from, nor was it poured at the table. This is particularly disappointing from an establishment which prides itself for its wine - and this was even though we were the first (and only table) before two other tables were seated, and we were the only ones who ordered wine by the glass. It seems no different from a bar which is trying to obfuscate or hide the alleged quality of the wines it is serving. This was topped off by an extremely rude and condescending staff which had no qualms in rolling their eyes and had little interest in serving us, and making us feel very unwelcome in the bar. This experience was a huge gulf from the personable and pleasant service I had when the bar first opened its doors. Extremely disappointing. I would have upped this review to more stars for the food, but it was from Casa Vostra.

Dear Zi Yi, thank you for taking the time to share a detailed review. We are sincerely sorry that your visit was disappointing, it is clearly far below the standard we set. Please accept our deepest apologies for the issues you raised. We should most definitely have informed you about the menu limitations and the unavailability of the Chassagne Montrachet at the onset. The Wine Service Protocol will also be reviewed and staff re-trained. As for the staff that displayed unsatisfactory behaviour, this is intolerable, and we will be taking swift and serious action to address this internally.
