Had dinner at Guan Chee Kitchen at Serangoon with the char siew roasted pork rice. Juicy sweet char siew, roasted pork was crackling tasty, all covered in the savory tangy sweet dark sauce. The chilly sauce was good. Overall the meal was ok, though it's quite pricey at $9.30 for a plate of char siew roasted pork rice in a food court. Price per person: SGD 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Tried the roasted delights here a few times, and it’s always consistent. The char siew is nicely caramelised, more towards the lean cuts which I prefer, while the roast pork has a crisp crackling and tender meat with a good balance of fats. Duck was abit too chewy and specifically said I don’t want bone parts, yet was served boney parts for another plate Rice is okay, and the sauce ties everything together well, just abit salty. Portions are generous for the price ($10), and service is usually quite fast even during lunch hours. Price per person: SGD 1–10 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
