Tried their coffee with tea(yuan yang) at $1.40. It is less sweet, slightly thick and bitter in Coffee with a bit tea aroma. 9/10 Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5

Was vising Vertex commercial building along Ubi Road 2 for an appointment and decided to settle lunch at the Hoha Eating House (coffee shop) tenanted on level one. This turned out to be one of a surprising foodie discovery of the week for me. Most of the food stalls are serving really economic dishes, priced attractively for my usually "thin" wallet and "starving" tummy. I went for Ubi Western Food. It was nearing end of lunch period at 1.30pm but the ordering crowd at the stall was still sizeable. Yet in the midst of rush hour, the front counter lady could be seen efficiently taking orders with positive vibes, and even multi-tasking managing phone orders. Good thing that they implemented a paging system, hence I could sit comfortably, sipping my drink and work on my phone, while waiting for my order to be done. No need to wait in front of the stall or constantly keeping alert for the vendor to shout out. Business is very good and it means the food is popular too! In under 15 mins, a hearty portion of my order, pork chop with crinkle cut fries, accompanied with sides of baked beans and coleslaw, was ready. And heavens, the pork loin was so well seasoned, giving it a deep, savoury flavour. The texture was juicy and tender. I would love a good crust on the exterior but hey, for the price I paid, I'd got quality that outdone most restaurants in Singapore. It was definitely, what current Tik Tok food trend keep saying, "Money Worth"!! I noticed lots of people ordering the chicken chop and enjoying it. I must order it the next time I come back to Vertex. Drinks are also priced wonderfully here. $1.50 for a good size cup of iced teh-o, few coffee shop and even hawker centre with that price now. Overall, wonderful lunch experience I had. IMPORTANT NOTE: Most stalls closed at 2pm. The whole coffeeshop, I checked, start closing at 4pm. Hence if want to have a fulfilling lunch, which is very wallet friendly, visit early. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
